Student Teacher by Sydney & Taani

In Term 2 our student teacher from university came to our class, 5m. She stayed for about 1 Term. During that term she taught and helped us through the hard times we had together.
The first day she came our class was very nervous to meet her but knew she would fit in just like the rest of us. Our class was very happy to have a teacher like her. Later that week Miss. F taught us for the very first time while our other teacher was doing work. We were a bit naughty but we finally got through.
Later that term she taught most of our maths:
Division, addition, fractions, multiplication and much more. She also taught us about good behaviour and manners in front of adults or children.
Miss F was not strict but a really nice teacher.
As we met her we became more attached to her and made her like she was in our real class. When she left we were very sad but,we will remember her and we also knew soon enough she was going to teach at our school( in two years time). Before she left she gave us a present and a little treat so we can all remember her as friend in heart.

Mufti Day by Karlee and Mark E.

In term 3 we had a day where we were able to wear our clothes from home. We did not wear our school uniforms and because we didn't we had to bring a gold coin to help the poor and raise money for the church. We still did a lot of school work but we all had fun by playing games and having lunch sitting with our friends.
Then in the afternoon we did sport and then when it was 3:15 we went home with our mums and dads and some people went on buses.
The money we raised went to the St Vincent de Paul Society and to buying a Baptismal font for the new parish church.

Cross Country By Mark and Madison

The Holy Cross cross crountry was in term 2. It was held next to Woolworths shopping centre. The kids from Kindergarden to Year 6 walked there. It was an exciting day.

The children in our grade had to run three laps of the oval and the first six go ino the Zone Carnival. A boy in year 6 won a race for his age group and went to the Regional Cross Country in Canberra.

It was a long hot day and we were very tired by the end of it.

Term 1 Swimming Carnival by Teighan and Luca

Right at the beginning of the year we had a school swimming carnival. We all had to choose which races we wanted to compete in and what heats we were in and all of those important facts.
A lot of people made it into the Zone Carnival which is the next level after the School Swimming Carnival.
After we finished the races we all got to take turns and have a go in the wave pool. We also got to play games and just have fun swimming with our friends in the lap pools. After we had our lunch some of us got rewarded with ribbons. We then got packed up and and waited for the bus to arrive and take us back to school.
It was a very exhausting day but it was a very enjoyable one too. We can't wait till our next one comes.
